Wittman Announces Bid for Re-Election

This fall four seats will be open on the Dubuque community school board, and at least one incumbent says she will run for a second term. Lisa Wittman, vice president of mortgage and consumer lending at Fidelity Bank and Trust was first elected to serve four years on the board in September 2015. She says she has always been passionate about education and extra-curricular activities. Wittman says the strategic plan that the board has for the district is designed to prepare students for life after high school. Wittman will complete her first term on the board in a few months and says her on the job training has prepared her for a second term. Board member Mike Donahue says he is leaning toward running for another term. Fellow members Tom Barton and board president Tami Ryan are still undecided about running again. The election is November 5th.
