With Only Days Left, Salvation Army $60,000 Short of Goal

Dubuque’s chapter of the Salvation Army is going to need a big weekend to make its goal for this year’s Christmas Campaign. The army is trying to raise $229,000 between its Red Kettle Campaign and its mail appeal. Captain Matt Phelps tells us they’re just shy of three-quarters of the way to that goal. Phelps says fundraising has slowed a bit over the past week or so. The Red Kettle campaign runs through Christmas Eve, which is Monday.
