Two significant grant programs for farmers and small businesses to receive assistance from Federal CARES Act funding will be open for applications on June 15th. The Wisconsin Farm Support program will provide $1,000–$3,000 grants for farms. The application opens on Monday, June 15th and closes Monday, June 29th. The program will send $50 million in direct aid payments to Wisconsin farmers who have experienced losses due to COVID-19. Apply online at revenue.wi.gov. If you are unable to apply online, please call 608-266-2772. The We’re All In grant program is for small businesses and will provide $2,500 grants to 30,000 small businesses. The program is designed to help with the cost of business interruption, health and safety improvements, wages and salaries, rent, mortgages and inventory. The application opens on June 15th and closes on June 21st and can be found at www.wedc.org.
Both of these grant programs have very short deadlines and those who are eligible should apply right away.
