Wisconsin Flags to Fly at Half-Staff for Sun Prairie Firefighter

American flags will fly at half-staff in a second of the Tri-States today. Flags in Iowa had already been lowered in honor of former Governor Robert Ray, who died on Sunday and will be laid to rest today. Now, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has ordered flags in that state to be lowered in honor of the volunteer firefighter killed in an explosion in a Madison suburb this week. Sun Prairie Fire Captain Cory Barr died in Tuesday’s blast that destroyed the restaurant that he and his wife owned. Barr’s funeral will be held Saturday┬ámorning at Sun Prairie High School. Walker has ordered that the state’s flags fly at half-staff through the day on Saturday.
