UPDATE: Delaware County Man Going To Prison For The Rest Of His Life

An Earlville man will be spending the rest of his life behind bars, after a judge sentenced him to the mandatory term for 1st degree murder today. The judge sentenced 44 year old Todd Mullis to life in prison without the possibility of parole in the stabbing death of his wife nearly two years ago on the family’s farm in Delaware County. Prosecutors say that Mullis stabbed his wife, 39 year old Amy Mullis with a corn rake in November 2018. Mullis claimed that it was an accident and his wife fell on the rake. Mullis had accused his wife of having an affair. A jury convicted him last September. Mullis must also pay victim restitution in the amount of 150-thousand dollars. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, only immediate family members were allowed to attend the sentencing in Delaware County Court.
