SW Wisconsin Towns Receive Grants For Infrastructure And Community Improvements

Two communities in southwest Wisconsin are the recipients of a state grant to be used for infrastructure and community improvements. A release from Governor Scott Walker’s office says the Village of Montfort is getting a grant for a little over 433 thousand dollars for infrastructure and street improvements, while the town of Glen Haven will use a 420 thousand dollar grant to build a new fire station. In all 33 communities received grants totaling 15 million dollars. The money comes from the Community Development Block Grant Public Facility and Planning Funds. The release says “grants for planning will help rebuild and revitalize communities in Wisconsin through planned public infrastructure projects.”
