State Assistance For Small Businesses

Over the weekend the U.S. Small Business Administration issued a disaster declaration for small businesses in Iowa. The declaration allows those businesses impacted by COVID-19 to apply for low-interest support loans. Yesterday Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced new state based disaster assistance for small businesses. The Governor says funding is available for small grants for employers with two-to-25 employees. The grants range from $5,000 to $25,000. Reynolds says the grants will provide some much needed relief for struggling small businesses as well as some help with cash flow. The three pronged plan was developed by the Iowa Economic Development Authority, the Iowa Department of Revenue and Iowa Workforce Development.
