Salvation Army Christmas Campaign

The Salvation Army nationally started its Christmas Campaign on September 14th, earlier than ever before to ensure it can be a beacon of hope. While the Dubuque kettles won’t physically be out until November, The Salvation Army will be working in a variety of new ways to not only collect funds but to spread the idea of ‘Rescue Christmas’ – this year’s campaign theme. To kick the Dubuque campaign off, The Salvation Army will have a live ‘Call to Prayer’ event on Thursday, September 17th at noon. The event will be held on the Dubuque Salvation Army’s Facebook page. Captain Emily Phelps says the annual Toy Store is gearing up early this year. She says that toys are already arriving.
