The Dubuque & Jackson County Conservation departments have teamed up to offer people a chance to enjoy fall colors and educational programs while taking in the sights and sounds of the Mississippi River. The multi-day paddling trip takes place September 29 – October 1 from Dubuque to Bellevue. Participants will learn about many aspects of the river community and they can bring their own vessel or borrow a canoe or kayak from the county conservation departments. Cost is $10 per day or $25 for all 3 days, which includes the education programs and guided trip. Participants need to provide their own food and shuttling and camping is available both nights. Participants must register for this event online at MyCountyParks.com, click on Jackson County, then events. Participants are asked to practice social distancing with other participants. Participants should bring a mask for instances when social distancing might not be able to be maintained. This event is for adults, ages 18 and up.
