Research Awareness Event

In an effort to bring families of children with autism up to speed on the latest research, Hills and Dales in Dubuque along with Simons Powering Autism Research for Knowledge, or SPARK is hosting an event on Saturday at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. Hills and Dales CEO Marilyn Althoff says it’s an awareness event and will offer families an opportunity to participate in the research. Families will have a chance to speak with members from the SPARK team and find out more about how to participate in the autism research study. SPARK is the nation’s largest autism research study and the University of Iowa is one of more than 30 participating hospitals and clinics across the country. Saturday’s event is free, but only open to families and people with autism. If you plan to attend Althoff ask that you call 319-335-8882 or Hills and Dales at 563-556-7878. The event will run from 5 to 8 pm.
