MaCio Teague scored 15 points and No. 1 Baylor beat Iowa State 67-53. Baylor used a 17-2 run midway through the second half to turn a five-point lead into a 59-41 edge with 7:43 left. Rasir Bolton led the Cyclones with 19 points and Tyrese Haliburton scored 16.

Green scores 27 to lift N. Iowa over Missouri St. 95-66

AJ Green scored 27 points, Austin Phyfe added 17 and Northern Iowa extended its home win streak to 12 games, rolling past Missouri State 95-66.  Former Western Dubuque prep Spencer Haldeman has 12 points and 7 rebounds for the Panthers as they went to 18-and-3 on the season.

Huge 2 games for Iowa

No. 18 Iowa faces a pair of tests against ranked Big Ten teams beginning tonight. The Hawkeyes visit No. 15 Maryland tonight and host No. 19 Illinois on Sunday.  Both Iowa and Maryland are 6-and-3 in league play tied for 2nd place, sitting one game back of first place Illinois and Michigan State who are each 7 and 2.

The Iowa ticket office reports the Hawkeyes next two home games versus Illinois on Sunday and Nebraska (Saturday, Feb. 8) are SOLD OUT. A limited number of tickets remain for Iowa’s remaining three home games are still available.
