Davidson, Ford lift Wisconsin past McNeese
MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Brad Davison scored a game-high 24 points, Aleem Ford added a career-high 16 points, and Wisconsin beat McNeese 83-63 on Wednesday night. Brevin Pritzl scored 13 points in his first start in two seasons for the Badgers (2-1), who won their second straight game. Wisconsin will hosts intrastate rival Marquette on Sunday.
UNI Men Still Unbeaten
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI men’s basketball team moved to 3-0 on the season after defeating the Roadrunners of CSU Bakersfield 67-55. Former Western Dubuque prep Spencer Haldeman led the Panthers with 15 points while AJ Green and Trae Berhow each finished the night with 14 points.
UNI Women Stun Missouri
Karli Rucker scored 21 points and former Western Dubuque prep Megan Maahs added 18 to lead UNI to a huge road win 78-73 win over Missouri. Maahs went three quarters without missing a shot and also contributed with six assists, four rebounds and two steals.
Illini Women Top Austin Peay, 76-62
CHAMPAIGN – Redshirt junior Petra Holešínská and freshman Jada Peebles led Illinois on Wednesday night, in a 76-62 victory over the Austin Peay Governors.
