Purdue routs No. 17 Iowa 104-68
Evan Boudreaux scored a season-high 18 points to lead five Purdue players in double figures in a 104-68 rout against No. 17 Iowa. The Boilermakers shot a season-high 63 percent and reached the 100-point mark for the first time this season. Luka Garza led the Hawkeyes with 26 points. Former Wahlert preps Cordell Pemsl with 6 and 1 board and Riley Till with 2 points.
No. 13 West Virginia downs Iowa State 76-61
Oscar Tshiebwe had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and No. 13 West Virginia breezed to a 76-61 victory over Iowa State. West Virginia never trailed. Five minutes into the game the Mountaineers built a lead that didn’t fall below double digits again. Rasir Bolton scored 18 points for the Cyclones and Tyrese Haliburton added 12 points. Iowa State fell to 0-7 on the road.
Phyfe carries N. Iowa past Valparaiso 63-51
Northern Iowa picked up their 20th win of the season last night. Austin Phyfe had 10 points and 13 rebounds to lift Northern Iowa to a 63-51 win over Valparaiso. Former Western Dubuque prep Spencer Haldeman had 6 points 2 rebounds, former Senior prep Noah Carter had 5 points and a rebound in 7 minutes of playing time.
Minnesota romps past Wisconsin 70-52
Payton Willis scored a career-high 21 points on 5-for-7 shooting from 3-point range to lead Minnesota past Wisconsin 70-52. Daniel Oturu had 17 points and 14 rebounds, Marcus Carr scored 12 points, and Gabe Kalscheur added 11 points for the Gophers. They led the entire game and posted their largest margin of victory over the Badgers in 26 years. Both teams are 6-6 in Big Ten play. Nate Reuvers scored 14 points and Micah Potter had 11 points and 15 rebounds off the bench for the Badgers, who had their worst shooting performance of the season at 28.4 percent.
