- IOWA CITY, Iowa —For the third time this season, Iowa All-American Luka Garza has been received a Big 10 Player of the Week award. Garza and Ohio State’s Duane Washington Jr. share the honor this week Garza, also was tabbed the Naismith Trophy Player of the Week, helped lead the Hawkeyes to a pair of victories last week over No. 21 Wisconsin (77-62) and Penn State (74-68). The All-American averaged 26.5 points, 9.5 rebounds in the two contests.
- Illinois guard Ayo Dosunmu has made the cut as a top 5 finalist for the Bob Cousy point guard of the year honor. Former Illini All-American Dee Brown won the Cousy Award as a senior in 2006.
- Iowa freshman Caitlin Clark has been named the Big 10 Freshman of the Week for a conference record 11th time this season. Clark recorded her fourth consecutive and eighth total 30-point game of the season in Iowa’s win over Penn State.
- Iowa State freshman Lexi Donarski was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the 4th time this season after a Donarski she averaged 16.0 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in games against Kansas and Oklahoma State.
