Polling Sites In DC Reduced

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and efforts to keep voters safe, the Dubuque County election office says polling sites across the county will be reduced significantly on primary election day. Jenny Hillary, deputy commissioner of elections says under normal circumstances voters would cast their ballots at 35 sites, but that number will be reduced to 9. Hillary says unfortunately because of a database error the initial postcard notifications that were mailed to voters in precincts 5, 6, 7 and 8 included some incorrect information. She says those voters will receive a second postcard with their correct voting location. Hillary says they continue to urge people to stay safe by voting absentee from home. Request forms for absentee voting must be received by the election office no later than May 22nd. All postage for returning the request form and the ballot is pre-paid. To find out your voting site for the June 2nd primary visit dubuquecounty.org.
