Plows Ready For First Snow Fall

Although the first day of winter is nearly two months away, it will feel like it this week. Meteorologists with our coverage partners at KCRG TV are forecasting a little more snow on the way both Wednesday and Thursday. Dubuque Public Works Director John Klostermann says although crews are busy finishing up some summer projects, they’ll be ready. With the temperature hovering around the 28 to 30 degree mark over the next couple of nights, any precipitation we receive could re-freeze.┬áKlostermann urges motorists to slow down and re-adjust their driving to the conditions. The┬ápublic works department only uses salt on the streets and Klostermann says they have a full supply that should last throughout the winter.
