Panthers Add Former NFL Players to Coaching Staff

The UNI football team has added a pair of former NFL players to its coaching staff. Former Defensive Player of the Year and UNI alum Bryce Paup is back with the Panthers after a year away from the staff. Paup had previously coached the Panther defensive line from 2013 through 2016. Paup will once again be UNI’s defensive line coach during the upcoming season. In addition to Paup, former Oklahoma running back Quentin Griffin has also joined the UNI coaching staff to coach the running backs. Griffin was an All-Big 12 selection while playing for the Sooners in the early 2000s, reaching the #6 spot on the school’s career rushing rankings. Griffin was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2003 and spent three years in the NFL. He comes to UNI from Division II Missouri Southern State.
