A local non-profit is planning a festive night of trivia fundraising January 31st at the Grand River Center. Opening Doors is holding Trivia Bowl and Ann Lorenz, Development & Marketing Director, says a full bar and food will be available for purchase. Friday’s event takes on a Super Bowl theme and you can dress in your favorite team gear, but non-football fans will have plenty of other trivia topics. Cost is $12 per player and advance registration is preferred but not required. Lorenz says individuals are welcome and will be placed on teams. Doors open at 5 pm and 10 rounds of trivia starts at 7 pm. There will be 50/50 cash raffle, mulligans, and cash prizes for the top three teams. Register online at openingdoorsdbq.org. All proceeds goes to Opening Doors, who help women and children who are experiencing homelessness through their services at Teresa Shelter, Maria House and Francis Apartments.
