North Carolina Pulled Pork
3-4 lb. Bone-in Pork sirloin end roast
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup ketchup
1 cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons mustard
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
¼ teaspoon pepper
Place roast in a large slow cooker. Combine all remaining ingredients in a large bowl, stir well, and pour over roast in slow cooker. Cook on low 7-8 hours. Remove roast and discard bone. Shred meat and return to slow cooker, stir and cook on low an additional 30 minutes. Serve on buns.
