No “Stay At Home Order” For Iowa Yet

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds says the data and information she is receiving from state public health officials does not warrant her to issue a “stay at home or shelter in place order” at this time. Because of an influx in patients at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, that city’s mayor has asked the Governor to issue a “shelter in place” order. During her latest press conference yesterday on the COVID-19 outbreak in the state Reynolds says she will continue to use the metrics that have been laid out by her team, but those metrics change on a day-to-day basis. The Governors of Illinois and Wisconsin have issued “stay at home” orders.
