The NCAA Division 3 Track and Field Championships take place today through Saturday in Geneva, Ohio. All three area colleges are well represented.
- The University of Dubuque has athletes qualified in 11 events, six on the men’s side including defending national shot put champ Blaze Murfin who is qualified in that event along with the Discus and Hammer. On the women’s side Allison Beeman is a qualifier in the 100, 200, and as member of the Spartans 4×100 relay
- Loras has athletes qualified in 12 events: On the men’s side: Patrick Mickel is qualified in the 200, 400, and as the anchor of both the 4×100 and 4×400 relays. For the ladies, Gabrielle Noland is in the 100, 200, and member of both the 4×100 and 4×400.
- U-W Platteville has a total of 10 events. Zach Lee has the country’s top qualifying time in the 1500.
- Five members of the Clarke University squad at the NAIA Championships in Gulf Shores Alabama today through Saturday.
