Mullis Sentencing Scheduled For This Afternoon In Delaware County

An Earlville man convicted of 1st degree murder in the death of his wife is scheduled to be sentenced today. 44 year old Todd Mullis faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. Mullis was convicted last September of stabbing his wife, 39 year old Amy Mullis, to death with a corn rake on the family’s farm in Delaware County in November of 2018. Mullis claimed that she fell on the rake, but a jury didn’t believe his version of the events leading up to his wife’s death. Because of the COVID pandemic, only immediate family members will be able to attend the sentencing, which is scheduled for 1 o’clock this afternoon in the Delaware County courthouse.
