Meth Dealers Arrested In Wisconsin

Three meth dealers from the Tri-State area were arrested in southwest Wisconsin Wednesday. According to Cuba City police a car driven by 31 year old John Behnken of Dubuque was stopped by an officer on Main Street. Behnken gave the officer a false name then put up his window and locked the doors. His passengers, 39 year old Dawn Warner of Dubuque and 39 year old Nicholas Kennel of Asbury at first refused to exit the vehicle, but eventually got out. A K-9 unit was brought to the scene and the K-9 indicated the presence of drugs. The vehicle was searched and police found a loaded handgun, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a scale. The K-9 then alerted officers of a problem with Behnken inside the car. Behnken told them he had just swallowed 10 baggies containing meth. He was first taken to Southwest Health, before being transported to Madison. Behnken faces numerous charges including possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of a firearm as a felon and obstructing justice. Warner and Kennel were each charged with possession of meth with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
