Manchester Man Going To Prison

A Manchester man is going to prison for his role in a stabbing incident that happened this summer. 38 year old William Holmes pleaded guilty in Delaware County to willful injury causing bodily injury. In two separate unrelated cases Holmes pled guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon, first degree harassment and possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. In exchange for his guilty plea in the stabbing case, prosecutors agreed to drop a charge of going armed with intent. A judge sentenced Holmes to 12 years behind bars. In late August police say Holmes stabbed his roommate in the arm after the two men got into a fight at the residence they shared. 20 year old Taneasha Gingerich is charged with one felony count of willful injury after police say she kicked the victim in the head while he was on top of Holmes while the two men fought. Holmes was convicted of felonies on four separate occasions from 2003 through 2009.
