Man Pleaded Guilty to Head Butting Officers

A man who was arrested by Dubuque police on July 26th has pleaded guilty to numerous charges that stemmed from him head butting two officers causing significant injuries. 22-year old Mathew Foxhood will be sentenced December 9th after pleading guilty to two counts of assault causing injury, interference with official acts, and voluntary absence from custody. Officers arrested Foxhood in July on a warrant for not returning to the correctional facility on Elm Street. After he was in custody, Foxhood told police not to touch him or they would be assaulted. As officers grabbed him, Foxhood head-butted the officers. One officer was head-butted in the forehead, which caused a deep laceration, while another officer suffered a possible fractured nose.
