Man Arrested After Threatening People With Knife

A Dubuque man was arrested yesterday afternoon, after police say he threatened several people outside a restaurant. Online court records say 36 year old Julius Jamieson was arrested at Popeye’s on Asbury Road and charged with three counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and going armed with intent. Documents say three people, who had purchased food at the restaurant earlier got into an argument with some of the employees, one of whom was Jamieson’s daughter who works at the restaurant. One of them claimed that they found bugs in their drink. When the three left, Jamieson allegedly followed them to their car, where he pulled out a knife and pressed it against two of the people and threatened to kill all of them. No one was injured during the incident.
