The Loras Womens Track team is still relishing the school’s first National Championship performance over the weekend. The Duhawks claimed the team title at the Division 3 championships in Geneva, Ohio by racking up 53 team points to outscore second place Washington University who finished with 49. The team title was paced by speedster Gabriele Noland who won titles in the 100 and 200, posting the fastest All-Conditions Time in Championship History in the 100 in 11.48. She also was the anchor on the Duhawks championship 4×100 and led off a 7th place effort in the 4×400.
On the men’s side Loras had a national champion with Patrick Mickel winning the 400 setting a stadium record and the 10th fastest time in Division 3 history. Mickel also anchored the men’s 4×400 relay to a 2nd place effort and was 8th in the 200.
