Letter Sent To Governor About Limiting Testing In Dubuque

Iowa Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer has sent a letter to Governor Kim Reynolds questioning why she has limited COVID-19 testing at the Epic Health and Wellness Center in Dubuque. That’s where a Test Iowa Clinic is located. The Governor’s directive calls for a limit of 100 tests per day and does not allow for the Visiting Nurse Association to assist people wanting to register on the Test Iowa website without a computer or internet access. In the letter Finkenauer ask the Governor several questions, such as were there any issues or factors that led or contributed to the decision to limit Test Iowa operations in Dubuque, including any communications or issues with the private companies that the state contracted with to operate Test Iowa. She also wants to know what other options are being pursued to bring testing to the Dubuque area while Test Iowa capacity remains limited. And Finkenauer wants the Governor to tell the community why the VNA can no longer assist people with assessments over the phone.
