Juvenile Charged in Delaware County Fire
Authorities in Delaware County have filed an arson charge against a juvenile accused of starting a fire at a home in Edgewood last month. According to a release from the Delaware County Sheriff’s office, the fire happened on March 21. Deputies were called to the Edgewood home, where they determined that the juvenile had started a fire inside the home. The youth was arrested and is now charged with 1st Degree Arson. The sheriff’s department hasn’t released the name or age of the juvenile. In Iowa, 1st Degree Arson is a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
