WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Patrick Kane scored his 19th goal of the season and had three assists in the Chicago Blackhawks’ 4-1 victory over the  Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.Robin Lehner made 36 saves, Alex Nylander had a goal and assist and Dominik Kubalik and Erik Gustafsson also scored to help the Blackhawks rebound from a 4-1 home loss to Colorado on Wednesday night.Tucker Poolman scored for Winnipeg and Connor Hellebuyck made 28 saves.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have the AFC West championship locked in and more big goals in sight. They hope to make a run in the playoffs. A top-two seed and first-round bye still are possibilities. And they can’t afford to stumble against the Chicago Bears on Sunday night. The Bears are out of the postseason after winning the NFC North last year. Kansas City has won four games in a row.

CHICAGO (AP) — All-Star weekend will be a homecoming for Common and Chance The Rapper. The NBA said Thursday night that the Grammy winners will be headline performers at the All-Star Game in Chicago on Feb. 16. Chance The Rapper and Common were both born in Chicago. Common will deliver remarks about what basketball means to the city before he introduces the All-Star rosters before the game. Chance The Rapper and some guests will perform at halftime.

UNDATED (AP) — North Central placed five players on The Associated Press Division III All-America team, including quarterback Broc Rutter, ahead of its first appearance in the NCAA championship game. The Illinois college beat perennial powerhouse Mount Union in the second round of the playoffs. It will face Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday for the national title. Rutter, a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy given to Division III’s best player, is joined on the first team by four teammates: running back Ethan Greenfield, offensive lineman Sharmore Clarke, receiver Andrew Kamienski and defensive back Jake Beesley.
