Northeast Iowa Community College is hosting a human rights advocate and musician on a pair of their campuses, including Peosta. When he’s not touring or recording music with his band Remedy Drive, David Zach makes international deployments to Southeast Asia and Latin America as an undercover operative with the abolitionist group, The Exodus Road. Zach tours college campuses and visits communities in the US to share his experiences. He believes that ordinary human beings can make a tremendous impact on freedom and justice in the world. The Exodus Road has rescued approximately 900 individuals from the sex trade and helped arrest nearly 400 traffickers. He says everyone can help in their own way. NICC is hosting Zach at the Calmar campus Monday and at the Peosta campus on Tuesday in Conference Centers 1 & 4. He will present three times each day – 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Each presentation is 60 minutes, with time for Q-n-A for community members. The presentations are free and open to the public.
