Yesterday Dubuque area high school track and field athletes would have been attempting to qualify for state competition, but COVID-19 came along and cancelled their seasons. Local physical therapy clinic Dubuque Physical Therapy has come up with a way for those high school athletes to showcase their skills by competing virtually. Amanda Edwards of the clinic says the virtual meet is open to all Tri-State area high school track and field athletes. Edwards says most events in a track meet are included and can be performed and recorded June 1st through 6th then submitted. She says there are prizes being awarded and 2 senior athletes will be randomly selected for 250 dollar scholarships.
