High School Football Regular Season Winding Down

It’s the second to last football Friday night of the regular season in Iowa and Illinois and the final night in Wisconsin.

At Dalzell Field; district title and playoff hopes are on the line for the Senior Rams as the welcome the 3rd ranked Cedar Falls Tigers. The Tigers are undefeated and tied with Cedar Rapids Prairie for the top spot in the district, both are one game in front of the Rams. Two of the three Dubuque High School teams play on the road. Wahlert looks to try and get to 500 on the season as they play at Maquoketa.

Hempstead will be looking for their first district win after three straight heart breaking losses when they play Cedar Rapids Jefferson at Kingston Stadium.

The marquee match-up on the Wisconsin side of the river takes place in Lancaster tonight with the SWAL Conference championship on the line with 8th ranked Lancaster hosting 6th ranked Mineral Point, both teams are undefeated going into the game.  A battle for outright 2nd place in the SWC takes place tonight in Platteville with the Hillman hosting Prairie du Chien, both teams are 5-and-1 in conference play.
