Grand River To Build Dialysis Center In WI.

The Grand River Medical Group, based in Dubuque has announced plans to construct a new dialysis Unit and Nephrology Clinic in Richland Center. Nephrologist  Dr. David Ringold says the clinic will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will provide hemodialysis services to 20 patients, with room for growth. Grand River CEO Justin Hafner says expanding their footprint further into Wisconsin is in line with part of their goal and mission, and that is to providing health care to some of the most vulnerable patients in Richland Center. Grand River currently has dialysis units in Dubuque, Manchester and Platteville. Dr. Ringold says the goal is to eventually take care of every dialysis patient in the region. A groundbreaking ceremony for the new clinic will be held in the next few weeks, with construction starting later this fall. The new unit is expected to be up and running around March of next year.
