Former Nurse Sentenced To Prison

A former nurse who was accused of tampering with drugs given to patients at an assistant living facility in Manchester has been sentenced to prison. 31 year old Katie Boll of Manchester was sentenced to 4 years in federal prison after pleading guilty last year to several charges that included tampering with a consumer product and acquiring a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, deception and subterfuge. Over a dozen charges were filed against Boll. She was accused of stealing patients’ opioids as well as morphine. The thefts took place between September of 2018 and January of last year at Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. Boll was also accused of taking prescription pain killers and oxycodone and Tylenol with codeine from patients and replacing the drugs with over the counter painkillers. After serving her prison sentence, Boll will be placed on three years of probation. She was also ordered to surrender her nursing license and pay over $500 in restitution.
