A former Loras College head football coach will be wearing purple again at his new coaching stop. North Dakota State head coach Chris Klieman has been introduced as the new head football coach at Kansas State University taking over for Bill Snyder who announced his retirement last week. Klieman is 67-6 in six seasons as the head coach of the Bison and won three FCS national championships and the team is preparing to play in the semi-finals this Saturday.
At Loras Klieman was defensive coordinator from 2002-04 before taking over as head coach for the 2005 season. The Waterloo native returned to Northern Iowa in 2006 as an assistant coach before being elevated to defensive coordinator for the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
