Ernst Comments On Mueller’s Testimony

Last week, former special counsel Robert Mueller testified before the House Judiciary Committee about any possible connection between Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russians. Mueller’s testimony concluded there was “considerable collusion” between the two sides and that Trump engaged in multiple acts of obstruction of justice. Iowa Senator Joni Ernst says although she was only able to catch bits and pieces of Mueller’s testimony, the American people have made up their minds and moved on. Mueller’s report has been made public and Ernst says people can read it for themselves if they haven’t already made up their minds. Meantime, the House Judiciary Committee was expected to file a lawsuit seeking secret grand jury material underlying Mueller’s report. Committee chair Jerrold Nadler says his panel will go to court to try to enforce a subpoena against former White House counsel Donald McGahn, a key Mueller witness.
