Elderly Hazel Green Man Treated for Hypothermia
Despite the dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills in the Tri-States this week, there have been few reports of injuries. But one elderly southwest Wisconsin man was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after being out in the cold for about an hour. According to the Grant County Emergency Management office, the 76-year-old from Hazel Green was taken to a local hospital to be treated for hypothermia. Authorities report the man was conscious and alert on his way to the hospital. The man was found at about 4:15 Tuesday afternoon outside a home in rural Hazel Green. He was already suffering some of the symptoms of hypothermia at that time.
