Dyersville Man Accused of Selling Marijuana Oil Facing New Charge
A Dyersville man accused of selling drugs is facing an additional charge after lab tests confirmed the powder found on a scale he reportedly used was cocaine. 40-year-old Kory Manternach was arrested in late October and charged with a felony count of Drug Possession with Intent to Deliver. According to police, an employee at the Hardee’s in Dyersville saw Manternach throw nearly a dozen bags of cannabis oil and a digital scale into the trash in the restaurant’s bathroom. The scale had a white powder on it that field tested for cocaine. The scale was sent to the state crime lab for additional testing. Earlier this month, it confirmed that the powder found on the scale was cocaine. Manternach has now been charged with Possession of Cocaine, in addition to his previous charge. He made an initial appearance on the new charge this week. He’s scheduled to go on trial on the delivery charge in a little less than three weeks.
