Dubuque Teen Gets Probation

A Dubuque teenager charged with attempted murder has been sentenced to probation. 18 year old Lamar Little was sentenced to two-to-five years of probation this week in Dubuque County Court. Little pleaded guilty to going armed with intent and intimidation with a dangerous weapon. In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors dropped the attempted murder charge. The incident happened on May 13th in the alley between the 1800 blocks of White and Jackson Streets. Just prior to the incident a car driven by 33 year old Sheonta Fountain of Dubuque drove through the area and parked. Little and another juvenile got out of the car and began walking through the alley. The pair approached another juvenile and charged the 15 year old. Several shots were fired, but the juvenile was able to flee inside the home at 1815 Jackson. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the 2000 block of University Avenue. Little and the juvenile eventually came out and were detained. A search was conducted and police found a .22 LR pistol. Shell casings found at the scene were also .22 caliber. Fountain is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
