Dubuque Man Convicted Of Selling Heroin

A Dubuque man has been convicted of distributing heroin near a playground. In a plea agreement, 26 year old Jerome Greenwood admitted to selling the drug in Dubuque between 2016 and 2018. In August of 2018, Greenwood sold heroin to two women. After using the drug, one of the women lost consciousness and started having trouble breathing. She was rushed to the hospital by family members and given Narcan, which saved her life. Greenwood also admitted that he sometimes asked for sexual favors from his customers, in exchange for the drug. When he is sentenced, Greenwood faces between one and 40 years in federal prison and a 2-million dollar fine.
