Dubuque Man Arrested On Meth Charges

A Dubuque man was arrested on meth related charges this week, after police say he threw two baggies containing the drug into the Mississippi River as police were pulling him over. 39 year old Jason Woods was arrested Wednesday morning on the Dubuque-Wisconsin Bridge. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Acting on a tip, an officer attempted to pull over a car driven by Woods on East 16th Street. But he continued onto the bridge, where the officer says he saw Woods throw two baggies out of the passenger side of the car into the river. The fire department used its’ boat to take officers to retrieve the baggies that were floating on the river.
