Dubuque Crack Dealer Headed To Prison

A Dubuque man is headed to federal prison after pleading guilty to crack cocaine charges. Court documents from Cedar Rapids say 31 year old Mohamed Haidar was sentenced to 188 months this week after pleading guilty in April to distribution of a controlled substance. Documents say Haidar admitted to selling crack cocaine to confidential informants on at least three occasions, including one deal that went down near a park and an elementary school. Haidar, a convicted felon also admitted to having a handgun that had the serial number scratched off. In addition to his prison sentence, Haidar will be placed on six years of probation once he is released.
