Drug Busts In Lafayette County

Two search warrants in Lafayette County resulted in the arrest of five people on drug charges this week. The first one was executed at a residence in the 100 block of South Mound Avenue in the Village of Belmont early Tuesday morning. 22 year Dakota Soppe was arrested and charged with possession of THC with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation and parole violations. A 17 year old juvenile was also arrested and charged with possession of THC with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. A third person, 42 year old Karen Womak was not at home at the time of the bust and charges of maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of a schedule two narcotic against her have been referred to the county district attorney’s office. A short time later a search was executed at a Belmont residence in the 200 block of Wood Street. Taken into custody were 25 year old Cody Vondran, 27 year old Faith Hoffman and 48 year old Rebecca Riechers. They face charges ranging from possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver to maintaining a drug dwelling. 63 year old Lynda Forbes is being referred to the county attorney’s office for possession of drug paraphernalia.
