Dragotto Announces Run For Auditor

The first candidate who hopes to succeed Denise Dolan as Dubuque County Auditor has announced their candidacy. Democrat Kevin Dragotto is currently controller for TFM Company in Dubuque. The California native moved to Dubuque from Chicago with his wife and two daughters in 2014. The 44 year old Dragotto says he believes his extensive background and the skills he has acquired over the years will enable him to fulfill the duties of auditor. Dragotto says Dolan has done a fantastic job for more than 30 years, and if he is elected he intends to continue to maintain the public’s confidence in county government. Dragotto says he decided to make a run for the auditor’s office even before Dolan announced that she would be retiring at the end of this year. Dragotto, who served in the U.S. Army as a communications specialist in the mid-1990s, says he’s looking forward to getting out and earning the support of voters throughout the county. The filing deadline is March 25th. The primary election will be held on June 2nd.
