Donohue/Ryan Running For 3rd Term

The filing period for a seat on the Dubuque Community School Board opened yesterday, and three incumbents wasted no time filing their paperwork. Mike Donohue is seeking a 3rd four-year term on the school board, while incumbent board president Tami Ryan also filed for another term. Donohue says he decided to run again to finish what he and the board started. Like Donohue, Ryan says there is more work to be done. Ryan says she actually made the decision to seek another term several weeks ago. Incumbent Lisa Wittman has also filed papers, as well as newcomer Kate Parks, a professor at Loras College. Incumbent Tom Barton’s seat is also up for grabs and he still hasn’t decided if he will seek another term in office. The filing period ends on September 19th and the election is November 5th.
