Disaster Services Team At SA

For years, the Salvation Army has provided support all over the world to emergency personnel and survivors of disasters, but that service has not been available at the Dubuque branch of the Salvation Army for years…. until now. Captain Matt Phelps says they are expanding their services by putting together an emergency disaster services team. Phelps says they will train people to become part of the emergency disaster services team, or EDS, at no cost. Once the training is complete, that person would be registered as a “Salvation Army emergency disaster services volunteer”. Ideally, Phelps would like to see between 10 and 15 people take the training course. If you are interested in becoming part of the disaster services team, call the Salvation Army or visit their website to register. The training will be held on February 22nd from 8 am to 3 pm at the Salvation Army.
