Contract Extension Will Make Collins Loras’ Longest-Serving President

A contract extension will make Loras College’s president the longest serving executive in the school’s history. The Loras Board of Regents this week approved a five-year contract extension for President Jim Collins, which will keep him in the job through at least 2024. That would mark 20 years on the job for Collins, who became Loras’ youngest president when he took over the role in 2004. Collins has been employed at Loras since graduating from the school in 1984. He began as an Admissions Representative before moving on to roles such as Director of Alumni Relations, Assistant to the President, and Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
