The 21st ranked Iowa basketball team forced a glut of turnovers and converted them into points in their win over Western Carolina last night in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes jumped out to a 19-point halftime edge and coasted to the 78-60 victory, which ups their record to 9-2. Iowa coach Fran McCaffery says Western Carolina was playing well offensively in the first half, except for those turnovers. Tyler Cook led three Iowa players in double figures with 18 points. The Hawkeyes return to action on Saturday when they host Savannah State.
