MADISON, Wis. (AP) — If you were planning on supporting the Platteville girls high school basketball team at the state tournament in Green Bay or any state tournament team at the girls tournament this weekend or boys tournament next week in Madison, you will have to change your plans.
The Wisconsin state girls and boy’s basketball tournaments are one of the latest events to be affected by the coronavirus. The policy announced by the WIAA limits attendance at the State Tournaments to 88 tickets per team, two supervisors and a limit of 22 team personnel.
Tickets for the WIAA Girls and Boys State Basketball Tournaments, except the party of 88 immediate family members, will be refunded in full.
Any tickets purchased at school for the State Girls Basketball Tournament will we be refunded by your school and not the Resch Center or the WIAA.
This policy is being in put in place for the Boys Basketball Sectional games tonight and Saturday, including the D-4 semi-final at Mineral Point between Cuba City and Darlington and the D-5 semi-final at Belmont between Potosi and Wauzeka Steuben.
